Description

Technical specialist and regular customer support contact to diagnose and complete less complex repairs to Cummins products at a single customer’s site.

Engages customers in a courteous and professional manner. Anticipates and ensures prompt and efficient attention to customer needs

Applies the use of specialized tools and follows documented procedures and policies to diagnose and complete less complex repairs, including identifying and preparing required parts and tools

Coaches on preventative maintenance activities and basic repairs completed by customer employees

Escalates unresolved issues to more experienced On Site Technicians and/or Supervisor

Completes required documentation, such as service worksheets, timesheets, warranty claims, quality documents via handwritten forms or business system input screens.

Completes training in line with skill and business requirements

Maintains work area and tools for cleanliness and proper operation

Ensure adherence to all relevant Health Safety & Environmental policies, procedures and legislation and reports any issues / incidents to site management and to their supervisor

Qualifications

Skills

Skill Level A

Level I Technician plus:

Ability to carry out basic diagnostics using Cummins diagnostic tools on different product types with minimal supervision

Able to fully use all required Cummins service tools including Insite, EDS, Quick Serve On Line, INPOWER, LONMGMAKER

Familiar with basic warranty/policy terms

Capable of developing collaborative working relationships

Able to identify opportunities for work process improvements

Can resolve common technical problems

Skill Level B

Skill Level A plus:

Ability to carry out full diagnostics using Cummins diagnostic tools on different product types without supervision

In depth mechanical and/or electrical repair and maintenance capability to carry out product repairs including components without supervision

Ability to develop and maintain productive customer relationships and educating customers on operations and maintenance of products

Education, Licenses, Certifications

Apprentice Certified Power Generation or Engine Technician (Preferred)

Vocational diploma from relevant technical institution

Current relevant electrical certification (optional)

Locally valid driving permit

Experience

Basic level field service work experience

Intermediate level knowledge of and/or experience with power generation or engine products

High Voltage/ Low Voltage experience (optional)

Customer service experience

Utiliza-se de ferramentas especializadas e segue os procedimentos e políticas de Serviços para diagnosticar e realizar reparos menos complexos, incluindo a identificação e preparação de peças e ferramentas necessárias

Realiza atividades de manutenção preventiva de acordo com o cronograma de manutenção de produtos de geração de energia no campo

Escalona problemas não resolvidos para técnicos de serviço, mais experientes e / ou Supervisor

Completa documentação necessária, como planilhas de serviços, quadros de horários, reclamações de garantia, documentos de qualidade através de formulários preenchidos à mão ou pelo sistema de computador. Concluir os treinamentos de acordo com os requisitos do negócio

Manter veículo de serviço e ferramentas limpos para uma operação adequada

Garantir adesão a todas as políticas relevantes Segurança, Saúde e Meio Ambiente, procedimentos e legislação, além de reportar qualquer problema/ incidente ao gestor local e ao seu supervisor
